About

We were all there, riding bikes on Wednesday nights. Hanging out after the rides to crack a few brews. We shared ideas and had a good time. The five of us, Josh, Vic, Gabbie, Mark and Eppie, we met because of these weekly bike rides. Those of us with SLR cameras gravitated towards each other, and over a short period of time, the idea for a magazine was born. After rides we stood around talking about photography and about how much fun it is to ride bikes. We quickly realized we wanted to create something to celebrate bike life and the people that make the community what it is. We wanted to celebrate all things bicycle related. We landed on the name First & Gass as a way to pay homage to the local Vegas bike community. Members of groups like Extra Credit (a local bike club) would meet up at the intersection of First & Gass (Cross streets in the downtown area); it was treated as the rendezvous point for ride outs. That intersection became synonymous with bike life here in Vegas. It just came together effortlessly, First & Gass Vegas Bike Life Magazine was born.
